Merdeka 118 scales new heights in fire safety tech
Malaysia has introduced the Automatic Fire Monitoring System (SPKA) at Menara Merdeka 118, making it the first building in the country to implement this advanced fire safety technology. The system allows real-time monitoring of fire protection systems and sends alerts directly to the Fire and Rescue Department’s control centre for faster emergency response.
This initiative marks a major step forward in strengthening Malaysia’s fire safety standards, especially for high-risk and high-rise buildings. Beyond improving safety, it also reflects the country’s commitment to adopting modern technology in world-class infrastructure development.
Malaysia has marked a significant step forward in fire safety innovation with the launch of the Automatic Fire Monitoring System (SPKA), introduced for the first time at Menara Merdeka 118.
